福井県鯖江市にて制作される塗師・中野知昭さんの漆器展を開催いたします。越前漆器の産地に生まれ育ち、父である塗師・畠中昭一さんに師事した中野さん。長年にわたり漆の塗りに携わった後、現在は木地の形から漆の仕上げまで、自らの考えをもとに器をつくられています。木地のかたちや厚み、口縁の仕上げなど、使う人の手に触れる部分まで細やかに考えられた器は、漆器でありながら気負わず日常に取り入れられるものです。
本展では、椀や皿、盆 、重箱など、日々の食卓で使う器を中心に、さまざまな漆器をご紹介いたします。塗師として培われた確かな技術と、暮らしの中で使われる器への思いから生まれた中野さんの仕事を、ぜひご覧ください。

We are pleased to present an exhibition of lacquerware by Tomoaki Nakano, based in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture.
Born into the tradition of Echizen lacquerware, Nakano studied under his father, lacquer craftsman Shoichi Hatanaka. Drawing on his experience as a lacquer artist, he works from the form of the wooden base through to the final lacquer finish, paying close attention to every detail of the vessel.
The exhibition features bowls, plates, serving dishes, and other pieces for everyday use. We warmly invite you to experience Nakano’s refined craftsmanship and approach to contemporary lacquerware.
