東京都青梅市にて作陶する宮岡麻衣子さんの展覧会を開催致します。宮岡さんの作品は、古伊万里を手本とした女性らしい染付の器や花入。柔らかくおおらかな描線は、上品さの中にも気取らない軽やかな空気をもたらします。何気ない日々の暮らしにそっと華を添え、料理や食事をする時間、草花を愛でる時間をより豊かなものにする魅力を湛えます。今展では日常使いの器や花入、さらには蓋物や重箱など出展して頂きます。涼しげな染付はこの季節にぴったり。どうぞこの機会にご高覧下さいませ。

We are pleased to hold the exhibition of Maiko Miyaoka, a potter who focuses on making blue and white porcelain ware, based in Tokyo. Inspired by early blue and white porcelain, and early Imari ware, she started making works that are reminiscent of them. Her works embrace the impression of both nostalgia and modernism. Soft lines drawn on her works are simple yet also sophisticated, therefore they bring graceful and pleasant atmosphere when placed on a table at home.
