三重県伊賀市にて作陶される城進さんの展覧会を開催いたします。大学で陶芸を学び、その後世界各地を旅した経験を持つ城さん。旅先での風景や出会いを糧に、粉引、白灰釉、鉄絵、井戸など、多彩な器を生み出されています。なかでも人気の高い鉄絵は、アフリカで目にした泥染めの布から着想を得て生まれたもの。伸びやかな筆致で描かれる文様は、一点ごとに異なる表情を見せ、日々の食卓に穏やかな彩りを添えてくれます。会期中は展覧会でしかご覧いただけない鉄絵の意匠も数多く並び、城さんならではの自由で豊かな表現をお楽しみいただけます。今回は定番の器を中心に暮らしに寄り添う作品を幅広くご出展いただきます。手に取るたびに愛着の深まる城さんの仕事を、この機会にぜひご高覧ください。皆様のお越しを心よりお待ち申し上げます。

We are pleased to present an exhibition of ceramic works by Susumu Jo, based in Iga, Mie Prefecture. Drawing on his studies in ceramics and travels around the world, Jo creates a wide range of vessels, including his much-loved iron-painted pieces inspired by African mud-dyed textiles. Characterized by expressive brushwork and unique patterns, each work brings quiet beauty to everyday life. This exhibition features a selection of his signature tableware along with exclusive iron-painted designs available only during the show.
