和歌山県天野にて薪窯焼成の器を制作される森岡成好さんの展覧会を開催いたします。森岡さんは土や釉薬となる素材もご自身で採取されます。そうして生み出される器は、素朴で力強く、自然の生命力が感じられます。今展でも石垣島や種子島で自ら手掘りした土を用いて制作した、南蛮焼〆の器を中心に出品いただきます。低温でしっかりと焼き締められた器は奥深い色合いと質実剛健な魅力があります。京都やまほんでは2年ぶりの個展です。どうぞご高覧ください。


We are pleased to announce an exhibition by Shigeyoshi Morioka, a ceramist based in Amano, Wakayama prefecture. His works are born from natural materials, and they are in a strong but simple appearance that could remind everyone of the power of life. For this exhibition, he went to Ishigaki Island and Tanegashima to dig out soil by hand and bring us a set of Nanban-Yakishime wares. They were fired at a low temperature for a long time to gain a kind of unique finish. It will be his first solo exhibition at kyoto yamahon since 2020, and we are looking forward to your visit.
