We are pleased to present an exhibition of works by Kiyoko Suda, a bronze artist based in Nagano Prefecture. She creates her works by first shaping wax models, which are then cast in bronze. The finishing process involves the use of salt and vinegar, allowing time and the forces of nature to shape the surface, resulting in a casting texture that, though metallic, possesses a soft and complex character. This exhibition features both functional pieces—such as vases, trays, and plates—and sculptural objects meant for aesthetic appreciation. The subtle nuances of the bronze and the qualities of the materials convey a quiet depth, as if they have gently accumulated the passage of time. We warmly invite you to experience these works.
