和歌山県天野にて作陶される、森岡由利子さんの展覧会を開催いたします。焼〆・土器を経て、現在は薪窯焼成の白磁を主に制作される森岡さん。実際に韓国の窯場を訪れて陶器作りを学んだ経験を活かし、現在も李朝の器に想いを馳せながら白磁を追求し続けています。豊かで厳しい自然の中での生活で生まれた作品からは母性のようなおおらかさ、懐の深さが感じられます。今回の展覧会では日常使いの器から胴継の壺や染付の作品なども出展していただきますので、どうぞご高覧下さいませ。


We are pleased to announce an exhibition by Yuriko Morioka, a ceramist based in Amano, Wakayama prefecture. After Yakishime and earthenware making, she is now mainly creating Hakuji by the wood-fired kiln. She has visited the kiln sites of South Korea to learn pottery making. Through this experience, she started creating ceramics that are deeply influenced by the vessels of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. Her works are born from the rich but severe nature environment and that‘s the reason why they are with the beauty and grace that expresses a feeling of motherhood. There will be a larger range of works from table wares for everyday use, to Dohagi jars and Sometsuke wares on show.
