愛知県豊田市で木の器を制作される紀平佳丈さんの展覧会を開催いたします。紀平さんの作品は轆轤などの機械を使わずに、全て手作業で木目に合わせて刳り、削り、磨きをかけて作り出されます。鑿跡などを残さない端正で凛とした佇まいの中にも、轆轤成形のものとは異なる柔らかさや優しい表情が紀平さんの手によって表現されています。今回の展覧会ではお盆や鉢など日常使いの器を中心に出展していただきます。どうぞご高覧下さいませ。

We are pleased to announce an exhibition by Yoshitake Kihira, a woodcrafter based in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture. According to the nature wood grain, wood pieces are reshaped by his hands instead of machine. His works are characterized with the smooth surface and providing you a warm and gentle feeling. This time he bring us tablewares for daily use, including plates and bowls. We are looking forward to your visit.
