福岡県うきは市で作陶を続ける黒畑日佐代さんの展覧会を開催いたします。手捏ねやくり抜き、轆轤、そして楽焼など、ひとつの技法にとらわれることなく、土に合わせて方法を選びながら、器のかたちは自然と育まれていきます。淡いグレーやくすみがかったピンク、そして楽焼ならではの鈍い艶。焼成の際、新聞紙のインクが貫入に染み込むことで生まれる古色には、予測のつかないゆらぎや、時間のにじみのような表情があります。シンプルな造形と柔らかな質感に加わった深みのある古色が、使うほどにゆっくりと変化し、手に取る人それぞれの時間とともに馴染んでいきます。碗やカップ、鉢や皿を中心に、花器や小品もあわせてご紹介いたします。どうぞ手に取りながら、器と過ごす時間を想像していただければ幸いです。

We are pleased to present an exhibition of works by Hisayo Kurohata, a ceramic artist based in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Using techniques such as hand-building, hollowing, wheel-throwing, and raku firing, Kurohata lets the clay guide her process, allowing each form to emerge naturally. Soft grays, muted pinks, and the subdued luster unique to raku ware give her pieces a quiet depth. The ink from newspaper used during firing seeps into the crackles, creating an aged, timeworn appearance full of subtle, unpredictable variations. These vessels slowly change with use, growing more familiar with each passing day. The exhibition features bowls, cups, plates, vases, and small objects.
